About the Esri Mining User Group
The Esri Mining User Group (informally known as the MUG) was formed to give the Mining Industry - understood to include Grass Roots Exploration through Mining to Closure and Reclamation, and all mined commodities exclusive of petroleum – a unified voice for communicating the needs and desires of the Industry to Esri.
The primary goal of this unified voice is to communicate to Esri the enhancements the mining industry would like to see in Esri’s suite of products. Our primary means of communicating our requirements will be through “The List”, our Top Ten things we would like to see in future versions of the software, from bug fixes to new features.
The Group will also provide a forum for industry people to collaborate, support, problem-solve, and get to know one another.
The Group uses a site on LinkedIn as the primary communication resource. "The List" is managed through the Esri ArcGIS Ideas web site.
