The Department of Lands and Surveys has implemented Landfolio to facilitate the management of Crown Lands, Leases and other transaction types. This project has included the business process engineering of various workflows, the conversion of the existing survey plans for New Providence, et.al. into a digital, spatial data set and training of the staff on the use of the application, as well as best practices for the ongoing document digitization efforts.
In partnership with Trimble, Inc., a 23-station CORS was implemented, as well as 3 tide gauge monitoring stations, and the purchase of numerous surveying/GPS kits for the survey crews. The project also includes the near-future implementation of an online transaction portal.
